Writers at Home: Angela Formaro and Nuccio Borghesi

About the event

"Scrittori in casa" is a series organised by the Culture Department in collaboration with the Biblioteca Civica "Beppe Fenoglio". It gives visitors a chance to meet authors, talk with them and discover their books, from novels and poetry to crime fiction and essays.

The November event features Angela Formaro and Nuccio Borghesi, who present their co-authored novel Il Cappello. "Da Norde a Sudde" oltre ogni distanza. It weaves together several stories and characters along a line running from northern to southern Italy, linking Calabria with the Lombard shores of Lake Iseo.

The narrative moves between past and present. Time acts as a force that returns to the door of memory and gives the characters back what seemed lost. A hat at the centre of the story becomes a symbol of destiny, an "invisible thread" that brings distant souls together.

The book is about the strength of memory, the human need to feel loved and the courage to overcome cultural prejudice.
